Blocking People

First thing you want to do is go on the account you want to blocks profile. It'll come up his family, statuses and adverts. To the left of your screen will be the friends & family, scroll down there until you see the report/block button. Click that.

You'll then have the block/report pop up, where it tells you what you can do. If you wish to just unfriend the person because you don't know them, click unfriend. If you want to block them, click block. You may also report the profile is racist/obscene; the profile is a copy (fake); or they're harassing/bullying you.

Unfriending someone just means you cannot see their posts, but you can friend them again, assuming they'll accept you back, to do this, just type their name into the search bar, then click '+Add as friend'

Blocking someone is different, it'll stop you from viewing their wall and vise versa, it'll also stop you messaging them, and vise versa again. In brief, it stops all communication between you and the blocked individual. This is the best solution if someone is aggravating you or spamming, although seeking help from Facebook may be a better option if being bullied or harassed.

Unblocking People

This is a tad harder to do than just blocking them, probably because Facebook doesn't understand why you would want to unblock someone who's been a nuisance to you.

But there is a way, obviously, it's quite simple once you've done it once or twice. The first thing you want to do is click on your Profile. Then look at the top, where you have your schooling, work and other information - click on edit profile (check right if stuck).

Once you've got onto edit profile, you'll be struck with lots of things you could edit. Go to the left toolbar, where all the editing places are. Down at the bottom, there'll be a sentence: You can also visit your 'privacy preferences' to adjust other settings. Click the hyper-link on privacy preferences.

You'll then be put on a bank of privacy settings, but we're only here for the unblocking feature. To use this, you click on manage blocking. This is the bottom privacy setting, it's title is: Blocked People and Apps.

When the link is clicked, it'll divert you to your blocking database. Everything from friend invitations to blocked apps is on here. You can unblock anything you want at any time. To unblock a friend, go to block users, the first in the list. On the blocking list, there'll be names of everyone you've blocked from your profile. You can simply unblock them by clicking 'Unblock', which is right of their name. After you've pressed it, a pop up will ask you if you're sure you want the person back on your friends. If you confirm, you'll not be allowed to re-block (s)he for another 48 hours.

Simple, right?

I have done all that to unblock someone, but their name is no longer there to unblock. There are not names there, but it will not let me send him a message,or see him.
