Electronic music has always been a harbour of great artists. From the early 70's onward, many skilled artists have created electronic music which has gone down in the charts as 'a classic'. In the 1990's, there was a dance/house music craze, especially around England. It took over this nation and many others, with 'DJs' making their first appearances outside recording studios and home computers.
Like in the 1990's, we've got a new 'DJ' craze. 'Dubstep', which, in wiki terms, is electronic music which has overwhelming drops of bass in clauses of the song. Dubstep is different from any other music because of its huge base lines and large depository of instrumental with occasional snippets of vocals.
In England, a Dubstep group named UKF has taken the internet by storm. They have already collected two number ones in the 2011 and look set on taking more. With Nero, Skream, DJ Fresh, Foreign Beggars and other skilled artists, it's hard not to love their music.
Is that all Dubstep is though?
No! There is many more dubstep artists, who can be found on Soundcloud and YouTube. One of the most successful dubstep/glitch artists right now is Skrillex - who is an America with no ties to UKF, although UKF have put some of his remixes on their website.
Their internet presence
Many Dubstep artists just release their new material onto channels such as UKF, which is a very well subscribed channel. Some more well known DJ's have taken it upon themselves to create their own channels, such as Flux Pavillion, DatSik and Skrillex.
They've achieved major success through the internet, especially people like Skrillex who relied on the support of SoundCloud members to boost him to mainstream level. In total, Skrillex has now achieved around 200m views. Pretty impressive for a second choice in music.
While Dubstep artists mainly branch their music out from SoundCloud, YouTube and other media-hosting websites, with their extensive knowledge on computers, many have set up home-websites. These are regular viewed from various backlinks they use.
I'd say all of the Dubstep artists have had more than 2bn views. With UKF already hitting around 500m and Skrillex, Flux, DJ Fresh, DatSik, Excision and many others adding to the resume.
Where do we go from here?
Dubstep is still growing and more artists are being added to their group everyday. It's becoming more of a common genre in many clubs, and there are allot more people viewing this genre.
With Ultra Music Festival, Summerburst, Tomorrowland, and many more electronic festivals, on top of the DJ's going on tours themselves, they're growing more everyday. Not only in England and US, but all around the world more people are listening to dubstep.

Awesome hub. Dubstep is the hypnotic, sense overwhelming future of music and I love it. I can't get enough of Skrillex right now. Up/awesome
This is such a good hub!! I love dubstep has taken over from every other music i listen to over the last 2 years!! Keep it up indigital!
I like dubstep, I actually learned about it from some college students this past summer, some random guy had found me on facebook, and learned of my web design skill, & so he asked me to develop a music website for him.
He actually was my first client I ever had in terms of web development, but that's besides the point. I discovered Dubstep through the content he needed me to deliver onto the screen for his new site. I had never heard of it before, but I was literally stunned when I heard a few songs for the first time.
Hearing all the unique fluctuations of sounds, it felt like I had entered a whole new realm. That was a mind altering experience, and I now knew what the term meant in every sense. Awesome hub, voted up

Can't even begin to tell you how awesome this is. So many people today want to think that it's a genre that just came out of nowhere when it has a little over 20 years of roots.
Nice hub man :)
